The African Democratic Congress (ADC) has appointed former President of the Senate Sen. David Mark as its Interim National Chairman.
The party also appointed Rauf Aregbesola, former Osun State Governor as Interim National Secretary.
Former Minister of Sports Bolaji Abdullahi will serve as the party’s Interim National Publicity Secretary.
The appointments aim to restructure and reposition the party ahead of the 2027 elections, a statement issued by the party said on Wednesday.
The party says it aims to challenge and possibly dislodge President Bola Tinubu and the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) from power.
The ADC’s new leadership is expected to restore credibility, discipline, and national appeal to the party.
The party’s coalition includes prominent figures like Atiku Abubakar, Peter Obi, Nasir El-Rufai, and Rotimi Amaechi.
Aregbesola emphasized the need for values-driven politics rooted in ideology and public service.
The ADC’s new leadership will be formally unveiled, outlining the party’s strategy and vision for the future.
