Nasarawa varsity female student allegedly commits suicide over failed relationship
A female undergraduate student of the Nasarawa State University, Keffi (NSUK) identified as Sarah Redemption, has allegedly taken her own life.
The deceased, who was a 100-level student of Microbiology before the unfortunate incident, reportedly committed suicide over a failed relationship.
She was said to have ingested an unknown poisonous substance, which culminated in her untimely death.
It was gathered that her fellow students, who witnessed the tragedy, attempted to expel the poison from her system by offering her palm oil to drink but it was too late and their efforts proved abortive.
Sources within the university claimed that the beautiful young lady took her own life because of a failed relationship with a young man, whose identity was still under wraps.
Her remains were said to have been taken to her home town for burial this weekend.
The university’s spokesman and the police command in Nasarawa State had yet to officially react to the development or respond to enquiries as of the time of filing this report, as attempts to do so proved futile.
