NBA President Akpata announces wedding to fellow Edo-born lawyer

Mr. Olumide Akpata, President of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) has announced the date of his wedding to Miss Osayamon Michelle May Ogbebor, a fellow Edo-born lawyer.

Akpata who made this known in a Save the Date flier on Sunday, said that he popped the question “after a bit of dithering” and his partner said “Yes!”

According to the wedding plans,the traditional marriage is scheduled to hold in the bride-to-be’s family compound located on Ekenwan Road, Benin, Edo State, on May 14.

The reception is scheduled to hold at Air Force Military Base, Airport Road, Benin.

Meanwhile, the couple will be joined in holy matrimony on October 2, in far-away Mauritius.

Periscope International learned that Osayamon is from the influential Ogbebor Family of Bini Kingdom, Edo State.

She obtained a Master of Laws (LLM) from the Queen Mary University of London in Dec 2017 and a Bachelor of Laws degree (LL.B) from the University of Essex.

She is currently a top executive and the Financial Markets Legal Adviser at the Central Securities Clearing System (CSCS) Plc.

CSCS is Nigeria’s Central Securities Depository (CSD) licensed to carry on the depository, clearing and settlement of all transactions in the Nigerian Capital Market.

It is Nigeria’s premier Financial Market Infrastructure (FMI), which processes securities in electronic book-entry form, ensuring safe and efficient transaction processing within the ecosystem.

CSCS also pioneers innovative solutions to deepen and enhance the efficient functioning of the market.

Osayamon has served in the Legal, Company Secretariat and Compliance Services Directorate for almost three years.
