“To my colleagues at the unit, thank you for your dedication to duty and loyalty that I enjoyed from you. Please, extend same to my successor.

“Today, I am happy to say that I am leaving the unit better than I met it, restructured and reformed with achievements that have repositioned the unit.”

Attah stressed that his leadership of the unit recorded unprecedented achievements with the public getting enlightened about the activities of the NCS.

He said the public enlightenment had  positively impacted on revenue generation and seizures made as more people were less willing to hide smugglers.

He appreciated the Comptroller General of Customs, Col. Hameed Ali and the NCS management for the confidence reposed on him.

In his response, Bomodi thanked the CGC for the opportunity of serving as Customs Public Relations Officer, and promised to give his best.

He urged the media to feel free to call him and clarify issues when in doubt, so as to pass the right information to the public.

Meanwhile, Acting Comptroller General and Supervisor of the Customs media unit, ACG Muhammad Abba-Kura congratulated Attah and Bomodi on their new postings.

He commended them for their hard work, urging them to do more.

The CGC recently approved the redeployment of 39 Comptrollers in which Attah was deployed to Kebbi State.
