Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Benjamin Kalu, has defended his PhD thesis on Policy and Strategic Studies at the University of Abuja Leadership Centre (ALC), on the main campus on Thursday.

Kalu, during a courtesy call on the Acting Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Patricia Lar, said his thesis provided him with a tool to address some of the challenges of the non- integrations of the international policies and strategies within Nigeria’s policy framework.

He commended the University for its rigorous academic and examination processes.

Kalu, who is a lawyer, also pledged his support for both the institution and its research efforts on national development.

Lar said the University was proud to have a student of the status of the deputy speaker.

She challenged him to continue supporting the institution in its quest to attain greater heights.

Earlier, the Director of the Abuja Leadership Centre, Prof. Philip Dahida, said the Centre had distinguished itself nationally and was setting the pace for excellence.
