The Social Democratic Party (SDP) has felicitated with its 2023 Presidential Candidate, Prince (Dr.) Adewole Ebenezer Adebayo, on the occasion of his 54th birthday.
In a statement issued on Thursday, Jan. 8, the Acting National Chairman of the party, Dr Sadiq Umar Abubakar Gombe, spoke on behalf of the National Working Committee (NWC) and party members nationwide.
He described Prince Adewole Adebayo as a respected Nigerian patriot, true democrat, philanthropist, and a figure of immense national impact.
According to the statement, the SDP expressed gratitude to God for blessing Nigeria with “a man of uncommon depth, fecund intellect, and noble character,” qualities for which Prince Adebayo is widely admired and celebrated.
The party noted that Prince Adebayo’s vision for a better Nigeria, as well as his commitment to building a just and inclusive society where life is meaningful for all citizens regardless of class, status, or creed, deserves national recognition.
“As he adds another year to his impactful life, we encourage him to remain focused and undeterred in his mission to make Nigeria great,” the statement said.
The party further commended Prince Adebayo for touching and transforming lives across the country through youth empowerment, support for households, inspiration of young professionals, and the promotion of human dignity.
It prayed that he would be blessed with long life, sound health, and fulfilment, adding that the appointed time for the manifestation of his leadership qualities on the national stage would come speedily for the good of Nigeria.
Similarly, the Chairman of the SDP State Chairmen Forum, Mr Femi Ferrari Olaniyi, congratulated Prince Adebayo on behalf of the forum.
In a goodwill message issued in Abuja, Olaniyi described him as a visionary leader whose life exemplifies selfless service, commitment to national development, and a deep passion for justice and unity.
He said the celebration went beyond marking another year, but honoured a lifetime of dedication to the Nigerian people, noting that Prince Adebayo’s leadership qualities and unwavering devotion to democratic ideals continued to inspire party members and citizens nationwide.
The forum prayed for God’s continued guidance, strength, and good health for the former presidential candidate and wished him many more years of impactful service.
