Venezuela: Colombian President warns Trump against invading his country

Following Trump’s threat to attack Colombia as he did Venezuela, Colombian President Gustavo Petro has issued a tough statement, warning the U.S. President against invading his country.

“Although I have not been a career military man, I know war and clandestinity.

”I swore never to touch a weapon again after the 1989 peace Pact, but for the Fatherland I will take up arms again, though I do not wish to.

“The United States is the first country in the world to have bombed a South American capital in all of human history,” he said.

“Netanyahu did not do it, nor did Hitler, nor Franco, nor Salazar.

“What a terrible medal that is, because for generations South Americans will not forget it,” he added.
