The Independent Corrupt Practices Commission (ICPC) has filed a fresh suit against former Kaduna State Governor Nasir El-Rufai and seven others.
They are facing fresh charges over an alleged ₦10.8 billion CCTV project fraud.
The anti-corruption agency claims that El-Rufai approved an ₦8.68 billion CCTV contract in 2015 for a company it says lacked the required competence.
Several individuals and firms allegedly received funds suspected to be proceeds of unlawful acts linked to the project.
The case adds to a series of ongoing legal battles involving the former governor, who has denied wrongdoing.
