Suspected Boko Haram/ISWAP insurgents have reportedly set fire to a primary school and a day secondary school in Kautikari village, Chibok Local Government Area of Borno State.

According to security and local sources, the attackers stormed the community on Wednesday evening, forcing residents to flee into nearby bushes for safety.

While no casualties were immediately confirmed, the destruction of the schools has heightened concerns over renewed attacks on educational facilities in the region.
