Former sports minister Dalung’s mother, father buried in his village

The remains of the mother of Solomon Dalung, former Minister of Youth and Sports, who died on 30th November, and that of his father, who died on 18 December, were laid to rest on Saturday in his Sabongida village, Langtang South LGA, Plateau State.

The former minister’s aged parents died barely 18 days apart.

Dalung’s late mother Mrs Nalkat Yah Chiram, died at the age of 90 after a brief illness, while his father Mr. William Fabong Dalung, died at the age of 105 after a protracted illness.

The funeral service for Dalung’s deceased parents took place at Church of Christ in Nations (COCIN) RCC Sabongida, Langtang South, attracted a large crowd.

Dignitaries who graced the funeral to symphatize with the Dalungs included the 2023 presidential candidate of his party, SDP, Prince Adewole Adebayo.

Others were senators Napoleon Bali and Peter Mba; FCT Permanent Secretary; Lt. Col. Mutum and Hon. Mutum Rims, among others.
