Habibat Oyindamola Tinubu, the last daughter of Sen Bola Tinubu, the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Nigeria’s 2023 general election, is said to have acquired a pricey property in Brooklyn, New York, for N2.1 billion, according to official documents obtained in the country.
CitizenzAlert reports that the property which the 22-year-old Habibat bought in 2017 is located close to where her elder sister, Zainab Abisola Tinubu, acquired hers in 2014 for N1.3 billion.
The property, located on 338 Berry Street SHN Brooklyn 11249, was acquired by Habibat Tinubu on October 3, 2017 at the outrageous amount of $3,250,000 [Three Million, Two Hundred and Fifty Thousand US Dollars].
The amount when converted to the value of the Nigerian Naira at the current exchange rate would be ₦2,015,000,000 [Two Billion and Fifteen Million Naira].
On July 22, 2022, CitizensAlert detailed how Tinubu’s other daughter Zainab allegedly acquired a luxurious property in Brooklyn, New York, in 2014 when she was 25.
Thi is in spite of the fact that the two girls do not have any known source of income.
Habibat Tinubu, born on October 21, 1991, graduated from Berklee College of Music in Boston, Massachusetts on May 11, 2013.
Her graduation experienced the presence of her parents, Sen Bola and Oluremi Tinubu, as well as her elder sister Zainab.
Since her graduation, no known business has been traced to Habibat or her elder sister Zainab.
However, Habitat and Zainab have been living flamboyant lifestyles in the United States of America, as well as acquiring pricey properties with billions of Naira.
Their father is running for the presidency of Nigeria, in spite of a series of corruption scandals hanging conspicuously on his neck.
He has also allegedly turned Lagos State which he was governor from 1999 to 2007 into his private company, receiving ₦9 billion every month from the internally generated revenue of the state for doing absolutely nothing.
All efforts to get the views of Sen Tinubu on the allegation prior to filing this report proved abortive as his known cellphone lines were perpetually switched off.
