Queen Naomi, Ooni of Ife’s wife quits marriage
Queen Naomi, the wife of the Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi has announced the end of her three-year-old marriage to the Ooni.
“At this moment, I announce that I shall no longer be referred to as wife to the Ooni of Ife or as Queen of Ile-Ife,” she wrote.
The Queen who made this known in a poston Instagram on Thursday, revealed that she made attempts to make the marriage work, albeit, she could no longer continue with the union.
She said that her decision to quit her marriage had nothing to do with the fact that the Ooni of Ife was married to another queen.
Queen Naomi and the Ooni of Ife tied the knot in 2018.
Periscope International recalls that Queen Naomi’s divorce is the second marriage of the Ooni to have ended in divorce since he assumed the throne of his ancestors in 2015.
