A Saudi Arabian billionaire has prepared a $15,000,000 (N2 billion) bid for the hat-trick ball of the 2023/24 Europa League final won by Nigeria’s footballer, Ademola Lookman of Italian Club, Atalanta.
Lookman and his teammates have all signed on the ball, which he was gifted following his hat-trick against Bayer 04 Leverkusen last Wednesday in the Europa League final.
It would be recalled that Atalanta roundly defeated their opponents 3-0 breaking Bayer 04 Leverkusen’s unbeaten record of more than fifty games.
Lookman scored all the goals in a heroic man-of-the-match display.
Whether Lookman will accept the tempting mouthwatering offer and part ways with the ball remains his personal decision and it remains to be seen.
The Nigerian international was also a hero of this year’s African Cup of Nations football competition in which Nigeria lost to the hosts Ivory Coast in the final by a lone goal.
