Former Senegalese President Abdoulaye Wade reaches 100 years milestone age.

Senegalese former President Abdoulaye Wade, has clocked 100 years of age.
Born in Kébémer, north-west Senegal, in 1926, the former President, a lawyer and economist, spent 26 years in opposition before winning power in 2000.
Wade, who was President for 12 years, now joins the select league of centenarians worldwide.
He lived through Senegal’s journey from France’s brutal colonial rule to independence, helping to consolidate its democracy.
