The president of the Confederation of African Football, CAF, Patrice Motsepe, announced this during a press conference at the Palace de la Culture in Trechville, Abidjan, on Friday.

When asked by newsmen when Africa would host the World Cup again, the South African business mogul said he would discuss it with President Tinubu during his visit to watch the Afcon final, stressing that Nigeria must put in a bid for it.

“Nigeria must put in a bid. The Nigerian president (Bola Tinubu) is coming to watch the final on Sunday.

“I will have a conversation with him about it,” the Afcon President said.

Periscope International recalls that Nigeria’s Vice President Kashim Shettima was in Cote d’Ivoire for the semi-finals on Wednesday, when the Super Eagles defeated South Africa 4-2 on penalties to proceed to the final.
