The Senior Staff Association of the Industrial Training Fund (ITF) has described as malicious, corruption allegations leveled against the Director-General, Industrial Training Fund (ITF) Mr Joseph Ari.
This is contained in a statement issued on Saturday in Abuja by the Secretary General of the association, Mr Othman Balarabe.
The statement reads: “The attention of our association has been drawn to attempts by sponsored agents to blackmail the director-general of the ITF, Mr Joseph Ari.
“We describe the publication alleging that there was lopsidedness in appointment and promotions in the ITF as malicious.”
“The story which is attributed to a faceless group, the Coalition of Northern Human Rights Groups (NHRG) was based on a protest letter by the group.
“The group had written the office of the Minister of Trade and Investment alleging lopsided appointments and monetisation of the promotion process by the Director-General and management of ITF.
“While it is not in our place to hold brief for the director-general and management, who are quite capable of defending their integrity that is clearly being assailed and tarnished. ”
“We, as representatives of the entirety of the ITF workforce are constrained to react to this malicious publication whose purpose is to sow seeds of discord while appealing to Nigerians and stakeholder to cross check their fact at the various offices of the ITF.”(NAN)
