The Minister of State for the Federal Capital Territory, Mariya Mahmoud, has disowned the reported appointment of seven advisers.
This is contained in a statement issued by her media aide, Austine Elemue, on Tuesday.
She said that the purported appointments announced by one Bin Usman Rano, did not originate from her office.
The minister described the reports linking her to the appointments as misleading.
She clarified that Rano is neither a staff member nor an official representative of her office.
Mahmoud explained that Rano is affiliated with a political support group, and not her office.
According to her, any appointments or announcements made by him relate solely to that organization, not the FCT Administration.
The minister urged the public and media to rely only on official communication channels for information concerning her activities and decisions.
